21-016 Dworshak Dam discharges to decrease to 6,900 cfs for upcoming week

AHSAHKA, Idaho –Dworshak Dam will be decreasing releases from 9,700 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 6,900 cfs to conserve water between hatchery releases, which resume Monday, April 12. Current basin conditions and a forecast for slightly below normal precipitation for the next 10 days drive the decrease.

21-011 Dworshak Dam discharges to decrease to 1,700 cfs for upcoming week

AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for March and April and to preserve water for hatchery releases in early April, Dworshak Dam will be decreasing releases starting Saturday night, March 20, at midnight. This decrease will result in the river lowering approximately 2 feet between midnight on Saturday and 2 p.m. Monday afternoon, after which time reservoir releases will remain constant.

21-010 Dworshak Dam discharges to decrease to 10,500 cfs for upcoming week

AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for March and April, Dworshak Dam will be decreasing releases starting Friday night, March 12, at midnight. This decrease will result in the river lowering less than 1 foot over the hour between midnight on Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday morning, and less than 1 foot between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., after which time flows will remain constant.

AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for March and April, Dworshak Dam will be decreasing releases starting Friday night, March 5, at midnight. This decrease will result in the river lowering less than 1 foot over the hour between midnight on Friday and 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

21-005 Dworshak Dam discharges to increase to 15,000 cfs for first week of March

AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for March and April, Dworshak Dam will be increasing releases starting Sunday Feb. 28 at 7 p.m.. This increase will result in the river rising approximately 3.5 feet between 7 p.m. Sunday night and 1 a.m. Monday morning.

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak will be releasing water during the next two weeks to manage reservoir refill and provide flood control. Reservoir managers will maintain Dworshak Dam releases at 1,700 cubic feet per second (cfs) through Feb. 19.

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Reservoir managers will decrease Dworshak Dam releases on Friday evening, Jan. 29, to 1,700 cubic feet per second (cfs). This flow is expected to remain constant until Feb. 8. Flows may vary daily from Feb. 8 to Feb. 15 in the range of 1,700 to 7,000 cfs.

20-053 Anglers and recreationalists beware of fluctuating water levels on the Clearwater and the North Fork of the Clearwater

Ahsahka, Idaho. – Dworshak Dam powerhouse will conduct testing on one of their hydropower units on October 13 and 14, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The test will increase the flow from the powerhouse, resulting in fluctuations of water depth and flow on both the Clearwater and the North Fork of the Clearwater rivers.
