15-047 Little Goose lock resumes normal service to boaters, shippers
WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Little Goose Dam’s navigation lock returned to summer-schedule service at 4:30 p.m. yesterday after repairs to the downstream gate controls were completed. Little Goose Lock & Dam is located at river mile 70.3.

15-046 Bennington Lake reopens to boating
Bennington Lake at the Mill Creek Project of the Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been reopened to boating, boat launching and watercraft use effective immediately. The closure was in support of firefighting helicopter operations to draft water from the lake for suppressing the nearby Blue Creek Fire east of Walla Walla.

15-045 Corps seeks public comments for Mill Creek levee maintenance draft FONSI and Environmental Assessment
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District (Corps) invites public comments on a draft Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) and Environmental Assessment (EA) and for maintenance to occur along the landward-side of the Corps-managed portion of the Mill Creek Levee System in Walla Walla. Comments are due no later than August 24.

For safety of boaters and firefighting helicopters, Bennington Lake at the Mill Creek Project of the Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is closed to all boating and boat launching effective immediately.

15-043 Ice Harbor spillway weir celebrates 10 years of safely passing salmon
BURBANK, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, marked a decade of safe fish passage over Ice Harbor’s spillway today during a commemorative event to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the installation of a spillway weir at the dam.

BURBANK, Wash. – Ice Harbor Lock and Dam’s Visitor Center will be temporarily closed starting at noon on Tuesday, July 14, and all day Wednesday, July 15, to accommodate a regional organizational activity.
