16-007 Navigation locks on Columbia, Snake rivers close for annual maintenance, repairs
WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct routine annual inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs at all navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake rivers during March.

Corps volunteers celebrate E-Week with Walla Walla-area students WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Volunteers with the Walla Walla District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will help four Walla Walla-area schools celebrate National Engineers Week Feb. 22-26 by sponsoring engineering design contests.

16-005 Little Goose navigation lock to temporarily close for inspections Feb. 11
STARBUCK, Wash. – Little Goose Dam’s navigation lock will be out of service Thursday, Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The outage is necessary for inspections that require the lock to remain watered up during this time. The lock will be returned to service as soon as all work is completed, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at the dam.

16-004 Lower Granite open for vehicle crossings on Monday holiday; Travelers should plan alternate routes across river at ‘LoMo’ and Little Goose dams
LOWER SNAKE RIVER, Wash. – If your upcoming Washington’s Birthday weekend plans include a road trip to visit family and friends on the opposite side of the lower Snake River, you may want to keep in mind that U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams are closed to cross-dam public vehicle traffic on federal holidays, unless otherwise announced.

16-003 Corps of Engineers completes Mill Creek Master Plan
WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Walla Walla District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has completed a revision of the Mill Creek Master Plan for the Mill Creek Dam and Bennington Lake civil works project, district officials announced today.

16-002 Corps awards 2 navigation lock repair contracts; work to occur during system-wide 2016-2017 extended lock outage
LOWER SNAKE RIVER, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently awarded two contracts to a Deer Park, Washington, company to upgrade the hoist machinery for the downstream navigation lock gates at Lower Monumental and Ice Harbor dams on the lower Snake River.
