22-048 Boise River flows to start reducing as Lucky Peak is topped off next week

BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation have begun to reduce Boise River flows through the city of Boise. Currently flows passing the Glenwood Bridge are approximately 2,400 cubic feet per second (cfs) which will be reduced by 500 cfs tomorrow Friday, June 17, 2022.

22-047 Dworshak Dam to decrease outflow over next several days

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Flows are receding in the Clearwater Basin, including the North Fork of the Clearwater above Dworshak. Due to receding flows Dworshak will be reducing outflow to minimize overall mainstem flow in the Clearwater, reduce Total Dissolved Gas (TDG), and start the final fill process for recreation.

22-046 Corps stops diverting water as Mill Creek flows recede

WALLA WALLA, WA – Water Management officials at the Walla Walla District stopped diverting water into Bennington Lake at 5:45 a.m. in response to receding flows coming down Mill Creek. The diverted water will remain in Bennington Lake until Russell Creek and Cottonwood Creek flows recede.

22-045 Corps to minimize flow through town as Mill Creek flows increase due to recent rainfall

WALLA WALLA, WA – Due to recent heavy rainfall, Mill Creek flows have increased. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District is working to ensure that flows through the City of Walla Walla remain between 1,400 and 1,700 cubic feet per second (cfs).

22-044 Dworshak Dam to Increase to 25,000 cubic feet per second due to heavy rain and snowmelt

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak Dam is currently releasing approximately 20,200 cubic feet per second (cfs) and will be increasing outflow to 25,000 cfs over the afternoon of Sunday June 12, 2022.

22-043 Boise River flows to increase to balance remaining space with recent rainfall

BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation will increase Boise River flows through the City of Boise from approximately 1,250 to 2,750 cubic feet per second (cfs), on Monday, June 13, 2022.

22-042 Dworshak Dam to increase to 15,500 cubic feet per second as reservoir nears full

Dworshak Dam will be increasing its outflow to 15,500 cubic feet per second (cfs) over the next two days. Currently, the dam is releasing approximately 9,600 cfs with a forebay elevation of 1,593 ft and 7 ft remaining until the project is full at 1,600 ft.

22-041 Ice Harbor Dam Visitor Center to temporarily close June 13-14, 17 and 21

BURBANK, WA – Ice Harbor Dam Visitor Center will be temporarily closed due to staffing constraints from June 13-14 and will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on June 15. The Visitor Center will also be temporarily closed on June 17 and 21.

22-040 Dworshak Dam Transitioning to Final Fill as Snowpack Melts

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak Dam is currently releasing approximately 9,600 cubic feet per second (cfs) and will continue to fill over the next 13 days. Releases are expected to increase to approximately 12,200 cfs starting the evening of June 9. Operations at Dworshak will change the height of the Clearwater River downstream of the dam by less than a foot, gradually, across a one-day period.

22-039 Boise River flows increase June 9 to support salmon migration and with late snow, Lucky Peak will now fill in time for Father’s Day Weekend

BOISE, Idaho – Cool conditions, a slow melt of remaining snowpack, and several precipitation events have added significant water to the Boise River basin allowing Lucky Peak to begin filling to normal full pool (3,055 feet above mean sea level) and the Bureau of Reclamation and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will begin increasing flows downstream of Lucky Peak Dam to provide additional water for salmon migration in the lower Snake and Columbia rivers.
