16-003 Corps of Engineers completes Mill Creek Master Plan

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Walla Walla District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, has completed a revision of the Mill Creek Master Plan for the Mill Creek Dam and Bennington Lake civil works project, district officials announced today.

16-002 Corps awards 2 navigation lock repair contracts; work to occur during system-wide 2016-2017 extended lock outage

LOWER SNAKE RIVER, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recently awarded two contracts to a Deer Park, Washington, company to upgrade the hoist machinery for the downstream navigation lock gates at Lower Monumental and Ice Harbor dams on the lower Snake River.

16-001 Mill Creek Levee paved trail reopens; Phase-1 maintenance work completed

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The paved trail on the north side of the federally managed section of the Mill Creek Levee System reopened to visitors Wednesday, Jan. 6, following the completion of Phase-1 work to remove overgrown vegetation which encroached into the levee’s maintenance-access zone, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today.

15-077 Winter weather to close some Dworshak recreation facilities

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak Dam and Reservoir recreation staff will close Viewpoint restrooms, Dam View Campground, Canyon Creek Campground and Merrys Bay Day-Use Area for the winter season on Dec. 1, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at the dam.

15-072 McNary navigation lock to temporarily close Nov. 3

UMATILLA, Ore. – McNary Dam’s navigation lock will be temporarily out of service Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. to allow inspection and measurement of the lock’s downstream and upstream gates brake shoes for future replacement, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers navigation officials at the Walla Walla District.
