LEWISTON, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Idaho Parks and Recreation at Hells Gate State Park, and Idaho Fish and Game will be celebrating good stewardship on National Trails Day on Saturday, June 1, at the Corps’ Hells Gate Habitat Management Unit near Lewiston along the Snake River.

POMEROY, Wash. – Visitors at Lower Granite Lock and Dam can get behind-the-scenes tours of the powerhouse, navigation lock and fish passage facilities – areas ordinarily off-limits to public access, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today.

13-037 Dworshak Visitor Center announces summer season dam tour hours

AHSAHKA, Idaho – Staff at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Dworshak Dam Visitor Center announced their tour schedule for the 2013 summer recreation season -- starting May 24 through Labor Day weekend, tours will be offered daily at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. All tours begin at the Visitor Center.

AHSAHKA, Idaho – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Dworshak Dam Visitor Center staff announced new hours for the 2013 summer recreation season. The visitor center will be open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., beginning May 25 and continuing through Sept. 2.

13-033 Lower Granite open for vehicle crossings on Memorial Day; Travelers should plan alternate routes across river at ‘LoMo’ and Little Goose dams

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – If your upcoming Memorial Day weekend plans include a road trip to visit family and friends on the opposite side of the lower Snake River, you may want to keep in mind that most U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams are closed to cross-dam public vehicle traffic on federal holidays, unless otherwise announced.
