19-006 Lower Monumental Dam maintenance work will require temporary dam-crossing closure Feb. 4-10

KAHLOTUS, Wash. – Vehicle crossings at Lower Monumental Lock and Dam, located at Snake River Mile 41.6 near Kahlotus, Washington, will be closed Feb. 4-10, 2019, to accommodate operations and maintenance activities using the top of the dam, according to operations officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District.

LOWER SNAKE RIVER, Wash. – If your upcoming holiday-weekend plans include a road trip to visit family and friends on the opposite side of the lower Snake River, you may want to keep in mind that most U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams are closed to cross-dam public vehicle traffic on federal holidays, unless otherwise announced.

19-002 Bennington Lake visitors impacted by water system upgrade

WALLA WALLA, Wash.– The water system upgrade for the restroom at Bennington Lake, located off Reservoir road, next to the boat ramp in the Mill Creek Project, will require the drinking fountain and sink to be unavailable until further notice, according to officials with the Walla Walla District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

19-001 Maintenance work Jan. 7- 13 will require temporary closure of bridge crossing at Little Goose Dam

STARBUCK, Wash. – Vehicle crossings at little Goose Lock and Dam, located at Snake River Mile 70.3 near Starbuck, Washington, will temporarily close Jan.7-13 to accommodate maintenance work on the upstream bascule bridge crossing the navigation lock, according to operations officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District.
