    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak Reservoir measured within 2 feet of full pool on Friday, June 22, and is on track to reach full-pool elevation -- 1,600 feet -- by Wednesday, July 4, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers water managers announced today.

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website gets new look; Web links changing

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, will soon migrate its public website: http://www.nww.usace.army.mil and all its Web pages to a new look and Web hosting platform. This migration will result in changed Web addresses, which means personal bookmarks may no longer function.

    Update: Corps continues to improve dam safety in Walla Walla District

    The Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is continuing its ongoing effort to improve safety at its dams and dam-related levees throughout the Snake River basin, at McNary Lock and Dam/Lake Wallula on the Columbia River, and at Mill Creek in the Walla Walla River Basin.

    Public invited to learn about Boise River flood risk at June 19 meeting

    Although the Boise River is no longer at flood stage, the risk of flooding remains. Future year flows could be significantly higher, causing property damage and putting lives at risk. To help the public better understand flood risk in the Boise area, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and other Idaho Silver Jackets agencies will host a public meeting in Garden City on Tuesday, June 19, to provide information and present a new Web-based tool to help the community visualize that risk.

    Ice Harbor 50th Anniversary celebration and Open House Saturday

    The public is invited to Saturday’s 50th anniversary celebration of completion of construction of Ice Harbor Lock and Dam near Burbank. Ice Harbor was dedicated on May 9, 1962, by then-Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson after several years of construction by the Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its contractors.

    Ice Harbor south shore access road closed nights through June 18 to prepare for 50th anniversary celebration event

    Part of Monument Drive on the south shore of the Snake River at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam near Burbank, Wash., will be closed during evenings beginning tonight, June 11, through Monday morning, June 18.

    McNary Dam offers Washington Fish View Room, NavLock tours during June

    The natural resources management staff at McNary Lock and Dam will offer tours of the Washington Fish View Room and the navigation lock on Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m., beginning Saturday, June 9, through Sunday July 1, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at the dam announced today.
