    20-046 Corps to close confluence parking lot for maintenance

    Lewiston, ID. – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today that they will be closing the confluence parking lot from Monday, Aug. 31 until Saturday Sept. 5 to accommodate asphalt maintenance work.

    Clarkston, Wash. -- Little Goose Lock and Dam and Lower Granite Lock and Dam have announced that Illia Dunes Recreation Area and Granite Point will be closed from Friday, Aug. 21 until Tuesday, Sept. 8.

    20-044 Irrigation pump for Lewiston Levee breaks; Corps makes plans for replacement

    Clarkston, Wash. -- Maintenance staff from the Lower Granite Natural Resources Management Office, part of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District (Corps), have discovered that the irrigation pump responsible for operating the irrigation system along the Snake River section of the Lewiston Levee, has stopped working.

    20-043 JOINT RELEASE: Lucky Peak Reservoir pool to begin lowering on August 17

    BOISE, Idaho -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation will begin lowering the pool elevation of Lucky Peak Reservoir on Monday, August 17. The lowering of Lucky Peak Reservoir follows a typical end of season reservoir drawdown for irrigation as experienced in prior years. Lucky Peak Reservoir pool began lowering on August 14 in 2018 and on August 18 in 2019.

    20-040 Federal agencies release final Columbia River System Operations environmental impact statement

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Reclamation and Bonneville Power Administration today released the Columbia River System Operations Final Environmental Impact Statement. The issuance of the final EIS is a substantial step toward accomplishment of a priority item of the Presidential Memorandum on Promoting the Reliable Supply and Delivery of Water in the West issued in October 2018.
