    21-047 Corps of Engineers to close Asotin Boat Ramp during jet boat race Aug. 28-29

    ASOTIN, Wash. – Due to the upcoming Thunder on the Snake Jet River Marathon, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Lower Granite Natural Resources Office will be closing the Asotin Boat Ramp starting Friday August 27 and reopening Sunday August 29 for safety.

    21-046 Corps of Engineers seeks public input for Environmental Assessment for proposed biosciences building on WSU campus

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District (Corps), in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and Washington State University (WSU), is drafting an Environmental Assessment (EA) for the proposed ARS-WSU joint plant biosciences building to be located on the campus of WSU. The Corps requests public comment and input on the scope and potential effects of the proposed building.

    21-042 Corps awards Clover Island contract: construction to begin this fall on ecosystem restoration project

    Kennewick, Wash. –The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District (Corps) on Monday, awarded a $4 million construction contract to TDX Power Services, LLC to restore Clover Island’s aquatic and riparian habitat to benefit endangered salmonids.

There will be formal presentations at 5 and 6 p.m., and Corps staff will be present to answer questions and provide information.
