    22-004 Corps investigates steelhead mortalities at Dworshak Dam

    OROFINO, Idaho – In late December 2021, Idaho Department of Fish and Game notified U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District officials of reports of numerous dead steelhead downstream of Dworshak Dam. Upon their investigation it was confirmed that approximately 30 deceased adult steelhead trout were visible in Dworkshak’s downstream channel.

    22-003 Dworshak Dam discharges to increase to draft reservoir to meet flood risk management targets

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – In order to meet flood control targets for January, reservoir managers will increase releases Monday evening, January 10, from 1,700 cubic feet per second (cfs) to approximately 2,400 cfs.

    21-059 Dworshak Dam releases to fluctuate between 1,600 and 6,000 cfs in November

    AHSAHKA, Idaho –Dworshak Dam releases will remain at 1,600 cubic feet per second (cfs) through Nov. 14 as the reservoir continues its winter fill. The current reservoir elevation is approximately 1,518 feet and the maximum allowable elevation by the end of December is approximately 1,559 feet.
