    Fire destroys Natural Resource Management building at Ice Harbor

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Tri-Rivers Natural Resources Management (NRM) Office, located at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam, was destroyed by a fire on the night of May 19. An earlier wildfire in the surrounding area is suspected to have caused the blaze, which is believed to have been ignited from embers near the building. No injuries were reported.

    Dworshak Dam discharge increasing to safely control the rate of reservoir fill

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Dworshak Dam is currently releasing 1,600 cubic feet per second (cfs). Flows will begin increasing on the evening of Tuesday, May 21st to be in the approximate range of 3,000-5,000 cfs.

    Investigation into vandalism at Ice Harbor Lock and Dam cultural monument underway

    Walla Walla, WA – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, is aware of a recent act of vandalism at Indian Memorial Park, located at the Ice Harbor Lock and Dam. The district condemns the vandalism, which defaced a significant cultural site, and is collaborating with law enforcement as they conduct an investigation into the vandalism.
