    STARBUCK, Wash. – Travelers using the public crossing at Little Goose Lock and Dam may experience delays of 2 to 3 hours until May 2 due to extensive equipment replacement efforts.

    Walla Walla District reopens navigation locks after extended outage; completes work on multiple BIL-funded projects

    COLUMBIA & SNAKE RIVERS, Ore. & Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District reopened navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake rivers on March 29 after an eleven-week outage. This extended outage allowed the district to perform routine maintenance and to replace aged equipment to reduce the risk of asset failure.

    USACE awards Turner Gulch boat ramp rehabilitation contract

    BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District has awarded a $2,136,537 contract to MACNAK Construction, LLC to conduct a rehabilitation project on the 70-year-old Turner Gulch Boat Ramp at Lucky Peak Dam and Lake near Boise, Idaho.

    Military night operations training to be held at McNary Lock and Dam March 25 through 27

    UMATILLA, OR. -  Soldiers from the 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord will conduct military night operations training at McNary Lock and Dam from Monday, March 25 through Wednesday, March 27. The training employs the use of helicopters and simulated munitions to make the exercise as realistic as possible. The training will primarily occur after sunset.

    Boise River flows set to increase Monday, March 25

    BOISE, Idaho -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation will increase Boise River flows through the City of Boise starting on March 25. These releases will help reduce the risk of flooding during periods of high snow runoff anticipated later this spring. Officials encourage the public to be aware of risks associated with increased Boise River flows. The water is deep, cold and fast. Individuals should use extreme caution near the riverbanks.
