    USACE awards Russell Creek rehabilitation and improvement contract

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District has awarded a $1.9 million contract to Northbank Civil & Marine, Inc. to conduct a rehabilitation and improvement project on Russell Creek Canal, part of the Mill Creek Flood Control Project near Walla Walla, Washington.

    Turner Gulch boat ramp rehabilitation project to shorten Lucky Peak boating season

    BOISE, Idaho – The Walla Walla District will be starting a rehabilitation project for the Turner Gulch boat ramp on Sept. 1, which will require Lucky Peak Lake to draw down starting the third week of July, shortening boating season by about a month.

    23-059 Walla Walla District navigation locks will close in January for annual maintenance

    COLUMBIA & SNAKE RIVERS, Ore. & Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District is closing navigation locks on the Columbia and Snake rivers beginning Jan. 14, 2024 at 6 a.m. for an eleven-week outage. This extended outage will allow the district to perform routine maintenance and to replace aged equipment to reduce the risk of asset failure.
