19-023 Corps seeks public input on proposed Section 408 for Cascade Natural Gas Corp. Mill Creek Channel directional drilling project

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) seeks public comments regarding the Corps’ proposal to grant permission pursuant to 33 United States Code Section 408 (Section 408) for potential alteration to a Corps-constructed river improvement (public work). The Corps proposes to grant Section 408 permission to the Cascade Natural Gas Corporation (CNG Corp) to directionally drill perpendicular to and under the Mill Creek flood-risk-management channel and levees to install a new 8-inch-diameter natural gas pipeline segment.

19-021 Lower Monumental Dam maintenance work will require temporary dam-crossing closure March 25-31

KAHLOTUS, Wash. – Vehicle crossings at Lower Monumental Lock and Dam, located at Snake River Mile 41.6 near Kahlotus, Washington, will be closed March 25-31, 2019, to accommodate operations and maintenance activities using the top of the dam, according to operations officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District.

BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation plan to reduce Boise River flows through the City of Boise on Monday morning, March 18, 2019, from approximately 1,900 to 1,400 cubic feet per second (cfs), as measured at the Glenwood Bridge gauge.
