    18-079 Corps seeks public comments on proposed Duportail Trail project

    RICHLAND, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District (Corps), invites public comments on proposed improvements for a section of the multi-use Duportail Trail. The trail section would follow the alignment of a gravel path that is located along the northeast shoreline of the lower Yakima River from the Chamna Natural Preserve to Duportail Street in Richland, Washington. This trail would be located entirely on Corps-managed lands.

    18-074 Corps removes public health advisory at Chestnut Recreation Area

    CLARKSTON, Wash. – The Walla Walla District of U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is removing public advisories to not swim in or drink shoreline river water near the Chestnut Recreation Area in Clarkston, Washington. Laboratory results received July 12 from water samples taken July 9, showed no indication of high levels of fecal bacteria in shoreline river water.
