    18-033 Dworshak to decrease flow discharge to 7,500 c.f.s.

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Discharge flows from Dworshak Dam and Reservoir will be decreased tomorrow, April 10, 2018, beginning at about 9 a.m., from approximately 10,000 c.f.s. (cubic feet per second) to about 7,500 c.f.s., according to reservoir managers at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Walla Walla District.

    18-031 Dworshak increases flow discharge to 10,000 c.f.s.

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Discharge flows from Dworshak Dam and Reservoir are being increased today, Feb. 7, 2018, beginning at about midnight, from approximately 8,500 c.f.s. (cubic feet per second) to about 10,000 c.f.s. to maintain room in Dworshak Reservoir to meet seasonal flood-risk-management requirements.

    18-028 23 more Walla Walla District employees volunteer support to FEMA missions

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Nineteen U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District employees deployed during the past week to support Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) hurricane-recovery efforts in Puerto Rico, according to District emergency management officials. Additionally, a safety and occupational health specialist deployed to support FEMA’s California wildfire recovery mission in Sonoma County; and two engineers with expertise in cost estimation are providing reach-back support to FEMA missions from their offices in the District Headquarters in Walla Walla, Washington.

    18-027 Dworshak Dam discharge flows to decrease to 8,500 cfs; Flow decrease to give hatcheries an opportunity to release juvenile fish smolts

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – To give fish hatcheries an opportunity to release juvenile fish smolts, Dworshak Dam discharge flows will be reduced today, March 26, between about 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., from the current 14,000 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 8,500 cfs, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials. Reservoir managers plan to maintain the reduced flows through Monday, April 2.

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Walla Walla District on Wednesday awarded a $321.3 million contract to Alstom Renewable US LLC to design, manufacture and install 14 turbines at the McNary Lock and Dam, near Umatilla, Oregon.
