    17-114 Lower Granite open for vehicle crossings on Friday holiday; Travelers should plan alternate routes across river at ‘LoMo’ and Little Goose dams on Veterans Day

    LOWER SNAKE RIVER, Wash. – If your upcoming Veterans Day weekend plans include a road trip to visit family and friends on the opposite side of the lower Snake River, you may want to keep in mind that most U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams are closed to cross-dam public vehicle traffic on federal holidays, unless otherwise announced.

    17-113 Mill Creek south-levee trail reopens to visitors; work continues on north levee

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The gravel trail on the south side of the federally managed section of the Mill Creek Levee System reopened to visitors, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today.

    17-112 Little Goose Dam reopens early to vehicle crossings; additional work to require intermittent crossing delays Nov. 6-9

    STARBUCK, Wash. – Little Goose Lock and Dam reopened for public vehicle crossings today, after work to transfer newly arrived adjustable spillway weir (ASW) components was completed ahead of schedule, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, operations officials at the dam. Cross-dam vehicle traffic may need to be intermittently delayed for up to approximately two hours Nov. 6-9 to safely accommodate related work activities occurring on top of the dam.

    17-111 Little Goose ASW arrival to temporarily suspend vehicle crossings, navigation lock traffic

    STARBUCK, Wash. – Public vehicle traffic across Little Goose Lock and Dam will be temporarily suspended Oct. 27 through Nov. 3 to accommodate the arrival of the next generation of spillway weirs, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, operations officials at the dam.

    17-110 Mill Creek Levee phase-2 maintenance resumes Tuesday; trails will temporarily close for visitor safety

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Portions of the walking trails along the federally managed section of the Mill Creek Levee System will be temporarily closed to all visitors starting Tuesday, Oct. 24, to accommodate the completion of levee-maintenance activities, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials announced today.

    17-105 Work in McNary’s navigation lock to temporarily increase lockage times

    UMATILLA, Ore. – Locking a vessel past McNary Lock and Dam will take about 20 minutes longer than usual on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 26-27, while workers perform inspections and service of tainter drain/fill valves, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at the dam.
