Corps completes Colfax levee system periodic inspections
COLFAX, Wash. – The Colfax Number 1 and Number 2 levee systems which are operated and maintained by the City of Colfax, received overall system ratings of “minimally acceptable” following their most recent U.S. Army Corps of Engineers periodic inspection reports finalized on Nov. 11 and Dec. 2, 2010, respectively.

GOODING, Idaho – The Gooding Diversion Flood Reduction Project, which is operated and maintained by the City of Gooding, received an overall system rating of “minimally acceptable” following its most recent U.S. Army Corps of Engineers periodic inspection report finalized on Nov. 1, 2010.

Trail access near Mill Creek Dam temporarily closes to accommodate diversion dike work
WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Portions of the Mill Creek Trail near Rooks Park and the Mill Creek Dam will be temporarily closed to visitors starting today through early April, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials.

WALLA WALLA, Wash. – If your upcoming holiday weekend plans include a road trip to visit family and friends on the opposite side of the lower Snake River, you may want to keep in mind that U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams will be closed to cross-dam public vehicle traffic on federal holidays.
