    14-048 Lower Granite open for vehicle crossings on Friday holiday; Travelers should plan alternate routes across river at ‘LoMo’ and Little Goose dams on Thursday and Friday

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – If your upcoming Independence Day weekend plans include a road trip to visit family and friends on the opposite side of the lower Snake River, you may want to keep in mind that most U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dams are closed to cross-dam public vehicle traffic on federal holidays, unless otherwise announced.

    14-047 McNary Dam offers north shore tours July through August

    UMATILLA, Ore. – The Natural Resources Management staff at McNary Lock and Dam will offer tours of the Washington Fish Viewing Room and the navigation lock on Saturdays and Sundays during July and August, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at the dam announced today.

    BOISE, Idaho – The Walla Walla District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) extended the public scoping period for the Boise River Feasibility Study. Study planners added 30 days to the scoping period, which now runs from April 24 to June 23.
