Merrys Bay

Merry’s Bay Day Use Area is the perfect place for a picnic.  Plenty of shoreline offers swimming and fishing opportunities.  There are numerous trails for bikers (non-motorized), hikers, and horseback riders to enjoy.  Hunters use the area during the different seasons.  Merry’s Bay day-use area gives visitors a great view of the back of the dam.  Merry’s Bay offers a number of picnic acres and restroom.

Merry’s Bay is a “Pack It In-Pack It Out” area there are no dumpsters or garbage cans available for use.  Please help keep the park clean by taking your trash with you when you leave.

 

Please consider the following when planning your trip to Merry’s Bay:

-The use of Merry’s Bay is free.

-Day Use area from 6am to 10pm.  No overnight camping.

-Merry’s Bay is open from April 1-November 30.

-Pets need to be on a leash and under control.

-“Pack It In-Pack It Out” bags are located by the Merry’s Bay trailhead.

-Dumpsters are not available.

 

Note:

-Hunting is prohibited. 

-ATV’s use is allowed on the roadways.

-Cell phone service is limited at best.
