Little Goose and Lake Bryan

Lake Bryan Overview
The Park Manager at the Lower Granite Natural Resources Office would like to invite you to visit any of the recreation areas that our staff manages on Lower Granite Lake, Lake Bryan and the upper reaches of Lake West—all on the Lower Snake River. Our recreation areas offer a wide array of outdoor activities, everything from serene walks along tree-lined paths on the Clearwater & Snake River National Recreation Trail to sturgeon fishing at Lower Granite Dam. While visiting, please enjoy opportunities such as camping, picnicking, wildlife viewing, and boating, as well as hunting deer, upland game birds, and waterfowl.

Both Little Goose and Lower Granite Dam feature fish viewing rooms that allow you an up-close look at the many species of fish in the Lower Snake River. Lower Granite Lock and Dam also has a Visitor Center that offers movies, interactive displays, brochures, guided tours, and a friendly and helpful staff. The Lower Granite Visitor Center is open seven days a week, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with small group and family tours of the Powerhouse and Juvenile Fish Facility available upon request throughout the summer season. For larger tours, such as school classes or special interest groups, please call (509) 751-0240 for more information.

Due to increased risk of wildfires during the summer months, a seasonal ban on wood fires exists from June 10 through October 10. Charcoal and propane fires are welcome year-round.

We are always pleased to get your comments and suggestions on how well we have met your needs and what we can do to improve your visit next time!
