Highway Directions: The trailhead for Lewis and Clark Commemorative Trail is located at the Warehouse Beach Recreation Area.
Directions to Warehouse Beach Recreation Area: 9.5 miles east of Umatilla, Oregon on Highway 730. Exit right at Highway 37, and then take first left turn on gravel road for 0.4 miles to trailhead.

Year round, during daylight hours.
The distance of the trail between Warehouse Beach and McNary Beach is approximately 7 miles. The trailhead at Warehouse Beach is the primary staging area for equestrians using the trail. Parking space at McNary Beach is limited to 3 horse trailers. Horses are not allowed in park areas.
The terrain of the trail is generally flat and wide short sections with narrow, moderately steep grades where the trail diverts around washouts.
The trail has limited safe access to the river for watering horses. Equestrians are requested to avoid breaking new trails for this purpose.
While on the trail equestrians can expect to encounter hikers, mountain bikes, and hunters depending on the season.
Hat Rock State Park, managed by the Oregon State Parks Department, provides restrooms, drinking water, food and picnic areas, and facilities for watering horses.
